What are you up to this weekend? I’ve been talking to my dad on the phone most evenings and he’s gotten me into Jeopardy. It’s fun to watch, and Alex Trebek looks exactly the same as always. (His agelessness reminds me of this.) Have a good one, and here are a few links from around the web…

What gorgeous aerial photos.
Reimagined movie posters. (I loved Call Me By Your Name!)
Love this Instagram caption.
I’m listening to this book on tape, and I’ve been cracking up walking down the street.
This also made me laugh for 100 years.

Plus, two reader comments:
Says Rachel on what little things enchant your children: “We went to our kids’ preschool to pick up bags of things from the teachers, who were cleaning out the classrooms. The teachers included personal notes, completed art projects, and the spare outfits that we sent into school back in September in case of an accident. My kids thought it was soooooo nice of their teachers to gift them underpants and ‘new dresses.’ I couldn’t break their hearts and tell them the truth…that those ratty clothes were just extras I had sent in and didn’t care about! They stripped out of their outfits and put on the ‘new’ clothes from their teachers. Adorable.”
Says Andrea on a pancake mix taste test: “My parents owned a small greasy spoon diner while I was growing up (open 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., regular customers, the whole bit) and they would only use Krusteaz pancake mix, with one amendment – my mom would add a couple of tablespoons of malted milk powder to the mix. The customers could never tell what made her pancakes so delicious, and she would never give up her secret ingredient. But I figure now that they’ve sold the place to someone else, it’s okay for me to let the cat out of the bag.”
